Phase III - Update
We follow PALM BEACH COUNTY guidelines. You can find the latest updates here.
Sports Fields/Open Green Space - Organized play or sports team use of fields available in accordance with the Governor’s Executive Order 20-131. No more than 50 persons per field including spectators. All players and spectators must maintain 6 feet physical distancing. Hand slaps, huddles, shared water bottles and food sharing are not permitted. Contact Sports and Wellness staff at 561-966-7033 for more information. |
After Florida went into Phase II on Friday Sep 25 (https://discover.pbcgov.org/Lists/Newsroom/NewsDispForm.aspx?ID=3164), we still need to follow PBC guidelines.
With the current guidelines of 50 people per field (and edge of field), practice and game days will be difficult.
We say “current,” because they could always change.
Any changes do require a new executive order to be executed by the Board of County Commissioners.
As for an update in regards to Phase III, we too, are curious if there will be changes.
As you may remember from the "return to play" a few months ago; we need an executive/emergency order to be executed before any guidelines will change. As soon as that happens, we will be sure to let you know. Though, often our Sport Providers know the moment we do through a PBC Commissioner's meeting or statement.
Game Schedule
Palm Beach County's guidelines require us to have 30 minutes in between practices and games.
30 minutes, so we will be able to avoid overcrowding in that time between practices.
Until further notice, which we will communicate, this is the schedule we will be following:
Practice Attendance - For Parents
Working closely with Parks and Rec regarding our discussion of game day counts in regard to the field capacities;
The only area not considered part of the field is the parking lot.
Any spectators in swales, heart trail, or beyond the heart trail would still be considered “on the field".
